Auto Correct: Couldn't resist the temptation

The horrors of Auto Correct or "Damn you Auto Correct" is arguably the hottest topic that the blogging community has been talking about lately (other than say Movember). A lot has been said about the unintended humor invoked by the Auto Correct option on the mobile phones (an entire site http://damnyouautocorrect.com/ has been dedicated to this) so there is nothing really new that I can add. But here's an interesting observation gone are the days when people only knew about a product after they brought it. The power of word of mouth or viral marketing has altered people's perceptions about leading brands.

While "Damn you Auto Correct" might not (at all) damage the reputation of mobile phone companies the same way that "United Breaks Guitars" did it very humorously points a flaw in the Auto Correct option which the mobile phones could do well to fix in the next models they release (before the option causes major unintended consequences). Thus the power of going viral makes people stand up, notice, involve, indulge and personalize a story. While Viral marketing takes its own sweet time to generate a critical mass it does however generate vociferous response and reaction from the customers which all the major Brands need to be cognizant of. Zamarrud Theatre Hyderabad

More than two decades ago a 5 year old boy (yours truly) found himself in Abids which was certainly then the microcosm of Hyderabad. Abids in the 80s <Courtesy: OkaTeluguAbbayi > The occasion was a family outing to Zamarrud Cinema. And we are stepping out for not just any movie my friends, my parents decided that nothing less than the Raj Kapoor blockbuster Chori Chori was good enough for us. To be honest I wasn't exactly enthused about watching a black and white film of a bygone era even though the movie had all the credentials of a classic. But that was before I saw Zamarrud, the theatre where the movie was being played. Nested in the heart of Abids, Zamarrud was the perfect amalgamation of Hyderabad's old world charm and new fangled ways. Zamarrud was not just any theatre, it was one of the first air conditioned halls in Hyderabad, a premiere cinema hall which used to host the best of what the film industry had to offer and the place to go for Hyderabad...

Rouge Beach

2020 has brought the travel plans of the world to a standstill but yours truly has not given up on finding some scenic spots close to the neighborhood. I don't enjoy visiting the same places over and over again, hence it's actually a hobby of mine to unearth some great vacation spots which can be reached without too much of a travel hassle (considering these are the days of the Pandemic). And what a gem it was, at just about 30-45 minutes drive from Toronto (right on the border of Pickering) and thoroughly accessible via Public Transit (TTC). When I first googled Rouge Beach (which is one of the Lake Ontario beaches), I found something very similar to the pic below but I was able to learn from Google Maps that there was actually a park right next to the beach. That clinched the deal for me, if the water was cold the park would serve me well and give me the outing I needed. KBR National Park

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the fifth largest city in India - Hyderabad lies KBR (Kasu Brahmananda Reddy) National Park . It's difficult to imagine a natural habitat in the center of a concrete jungle but that's exactly what KBR park is - an oasis in middle of an urban desert . One of Hyderabad's prized tourist attractions which in my opinion doesn't get the attention it deserves.
