Hello...Hello...Hello!
I have not been blogging for sometime and I couldn't think of a better title for my comeback post.
We are living in a world where everyone is running as fast as they can to be somewhere or be someone. Setting goals and running towards them is great but you also must know how far you can push yourself. It's necessary to pause every once in a while and smell the roses. It's vital to take a backseat in some activities while you assess life's priorities. That's exactly what I was doing while taking a backseat from the world of blogging.
Sometimes you have to enjoy the view from the backseat <Courtesy: John Schnobrich> |
Our world runs on several lanes made up of personal commitments, professional goals and activities which are close to our heart. It's impossible to run at the same speed on of all these lanes. You also have to be wary of spreading yourself too thin and doing a less than stellar job on things which are either close to your heart or those which you are responsible for. By taking a backseat on some lanes you allocate more time to higher priority items on the other lanes. You also ease up the pressure of constantly having to prove yourself on multiple fronts.
Next time when you go on a long drive let somebody else take the wheel. Just enjoy the view from the backseat. Bid adieu to the need to stay in control on everything and the result will be a rejuvenated mind with fresh perspectives.
What do you think? Let me know through your comments.
Until Next Time,
Your everyday observer,
Chaitanya J.J.
As always enjoyed reading the post, while it gives good perspective to take the backseat. Currently, I have changed the place and took the front seat and enjoying every moment of it (front seat view has its own charm, pride and goal)...
ReplyDeleteReally happy to know your perspective. Please enjoy the view from the front!
